It is 08.00 am on Friday 30 April 2021, two hundred and forty-one days from the start of the 2020 – 2021 school year.
Last week we set out our ‘Guiding Principles’ for our ‘new horizons’ living for May 2021 to April 2022

Our first draft outline plan
This is serious family business, so we have approached it accordingly. So far, we have had three short, sharp, family pow-wows, our version of board level corporate crisis meetings to investigate continued external threats to the family business, profits, share value and dividends. The first meeting was totally non-productive – after a year of indoctrination training to come to terms with SARS-CoV2 by living like hermits and quietly hiding away from a dangerous world, our brains, slumbering in their mental straight-jacket, behaved like an old car stuck in the garage for a year that couldn’t get its engine started. (The next two meetings went much better, charged up with strong coffee and chocolate eclairs, to hang with the diet!) The table below is our draft long list of new activity options identified to date and proposed actions. We need to think of more. No rocket science here, just a small, but nonetheless important, family ‘watershed’ moment:
